Bob Swiger

Bob is a native of Shinnston, Harrison County, and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1989. He went on to earn an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies at the West Virginia Business College. While there, he volunteered at the Clarksburg Public Defender office.

After college, Bob went to work as a paralegal for James Wilson Douglas, an attorney based in Sutton, West Virginia. While there he worked in many areas of law; however, the office was mainly focused on family law. He was promoted to office manager in 1998 and worked there until October, 2005.

In November, 2005, Bob went to work for the Family Courts of Upshur, Lewis and Braxton counties, under Judge Robert Reed Sowa, as his Case Coordinator. While there, he participated in the Family Court Advisory Board; and, was on the Board of Directors for the Tri-County Visitation Center until around 2013.

Bob spends the majority of his off work time with his children and grandchild; and, relaxes by building primitive furniture and crafts.
